Cropbound Server Rules & Guidelines
Cropbound is a survival server built around simple, mostly vanilla Minecraft. The rules are kept straightforward so everyone knows what is expected.
️ PvP
- PvP is allowed throughout the survival world.
- Players may fight, ambush, or defend themselves anywhere outside of protected spawn areas.
- Do not use exploits, glitches, or cheats to gain an unfair advantage in PvP.
- Do not use PvP to bypass land claims or protections.
- Killing another player does not give you permission to destroy or steal their claimed property.
PvP is part of survival. If you don't want to fight, be aware of your surroundings and choose where you travel carefully.
️ Land Claims
- Respect other players' claims.
- Do not attempt to bypass or exploit the claim system.
- Do not intentionally interfere with another player's builds through unclaimed areas.
- Do not use claims to trap, harass, or intentionally inconvenience other players.
- Only build, break, or modify another player's property when you have permission.
Your claim protects your property, not the surrounding wilderness.
Griefing & Theft
- Do not destroy another player's builds.
- Do not steal from another player's protected property.
- Do not intentionally damage someone's base or farms.
- Do not attempt to circumvent claims to grief or steal.
- PvP does not make griefing or theft outside of legitimate PvP acceptable.
Raiding and fighting players is different from destroying someone's work simply to ruin it.
Economy
- Do not exploit the server economy.
- Do not abuse bugs or glitches to generate money or items.
- Do not use alternate accounts to exploit rank or economy systems.
- Do not attempt to manipulate server shops through exploits or unintended mechanics.
If you discover an economy exploit, report it instead of abusing it.
Bugs & Exploits
- Do not intentionally abuse server bugs, plugin exploits, duplication glitches, or unintended mechanics.
- Report serious exploits to staff.
- Using a bug once to verify that it exists is different from repeatedly exploiting it for personal gain.
Staff may remove items, money, or other advantages gained through exploits.
Cheats & Unfair Advantages
The following are not allowed:
- Hacked clients
- X-ray
- Fly hacks
- Combat hacks
- Kill aura
- Speed hacks
- Duplication exploits
- Automated gameplay designed to bypass normal server mechanics
- Any software or modification that provides an unfair advantage
Normal Minecraft mods such as performance, visual, accessibility, and cosmetic modifications are allowed unless specifically prohibited by staff.
Chat & Community
- Don't spam.
- Don't excessively advertise other servers.
- Don't impersonate staff or other players.
- Don't harass or threaten other players.
- Don't intentionally disrupt chat.
- Keep serious arguments out of public chat.
- Use common sense and respect other players.
Trash talk and friendly banter are fine. Harassment is not.
️ Builds & World
- Don't intentionally build offensive or inappropriate structures.
- Don't intentionally obstruct important locations or pathways.
- Don't build directly around another player's base with the intent to interfere with them.
- Keep spawn and important server areas accessible.
- Don't exploit terrain or mechanics to intentionally cause server performance problems.
Large farms and redstone builds are allowed, but intentionally creating excessive lag is not.
Alt Accounts
Alternate accounts are allowed unless they are being used to bypass a punishment, exploit the economy, abuse rewards, or gain an unfair advantage.
Staff & Punishments
Staff may take action when a player intentionally exploits a situation that is clearly against the spirit of the rules, even if that exact situation is not specifically listed.
Possible actions include:
- Warning
- Temporary mute
- Temporary ban
- Permanent ban
- Removal of items, money, or progress obtained through exploits
Punishments depend on the severity and circumstances of the situation.
The Golden Rule
Use common sense.
Cropbound is meant to be a survival server where players can build, farm, explore, fight, trade, and create their own stories.
Play competitively if you want.
Play peacefully if you want.
Build alone or build with friends.
Just don't ruin the experience for everyone else.
